Born January 25, 1947 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late James Roberts and Roxie Louise Davis Roberts.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Iris Miller; her brother, Kenny Roberts and her loving husband of 27 years, Samuel Timothy Floyd, who passed away June 17, 2022, also preceded Glenda in death.
Glenda worked as a painter with Woodward in Salisbury, NC and retired as a welder at Eaton in Mooresville, NC. She enjoyed spending time with family; loved birthdays and holidays and flowers in her garden.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert “Robbie” Sipes (Robin Allen May) , Carl Sipes (Crystal Sipes) and Roger Sipes; grandchildren, Patricia Sipes (Timothy Beasley), Chloe Sipes, Michael Sipes, Matthew Sipes and Felicia Johnson (Daniel Johnson).
She is also survived her by great-grandchildren, Elaina Sipes, Aria Beasley, Raelynn Beasley, Anna-Beth Johnson, Gabriel Johnson, Natalie Sipes and Ivan Sipes, and her sister-in-law, Tami Honeycutt (James “Hub” Honeycutt).
The family will receive friends at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
The funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Greg McCubbins officiating.
Glenda will be laid to rest beside her husband at West Lawn Memorial Park, Monday, May 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
