David Roland Foster

Salisbury-David R. Foster, 36, gently passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday evening, July 11, 2015, following a period of declining health. Born July 29, 1978 in Salisbury, he was a son of Wayne Calvin Foster, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Bame Foster. David was a 1997 graduate of South Rowan High and was of the Baptist faith. He loved his family and friends and especially enjoyed watching dirt track racing with his son. Having a heart of gold, David never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, family members left with cherished memories include his son David Wayne Foster, of the home; his brother Wayne Calvin Foster, Jr. of Salisbury; his sister Tonya Renee Foster, also of Salisbury, his nephew William "Hunter" Patterson and his grandmothers Margaret Ellis Ashby of Advance and Vergie Linker Bame, of Salisbury. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 7-9:00 at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. Funeral services to remember and celebrate David's life will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jim Vickrey.
