Charles Newton Collins Jr.

Born in Rowan County on December 20, 1945, he was the son of the late Charles Newton Collins, Sr. and Edith Watson Collins.

Over the years, Charles worked for Cannon Mills, and then was an electrician with Howard Heating and Air. He became an instructor at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, teaching Electronic Maintenance.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Caleigh Morrigan Collins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sylvia Beaver Collins; son, Michael Todd Collins (Mary Grace Williams); daughter, Michelle Leigh Collins (Kyle Bowers) and grandson, Invictus Hawk Collins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 ay 10:00 AM in the Northcrest Chapel of Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to Rowan County Humane Society.
