She will be lovingly remembered by her children Marvin, Lorraine (Ken), Sylvia and Sharon (Bruce) as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Isaac Ewert in 2001, sisters Elizabeth, Selma and Anne and survived by siblings Lena, Mary, Frieda, Peter and Vic.
Tina was born in Sagradovka, Russia and moved with her family to Canada at age two. They settled in Saskatchewan and then Yarrow, B.C. where she worked hard along with her family but also enjoyed a vibrant and rich church life and spiritual journey. She was baptized at age 16.
Tina married Isaac Ewert in 1945 and they moved to Chilliwack where she lived the remainder of her life. Having a bright and intelligent mind for drafting, design and numbers, she enjoyed the challenge of assisting him in his construction business.
During her 18 years living alone, Tina enjoyed the interaction with staff and residents around her and especially the visits, rides and phone calls from family and friends. Although she faced many difficult and painful health challenges, she had a strong faith in her loving God.
Thank you to the staff at Bradley Centre for their compassionate, loving care of Tina and their support to the family.
If you wish, donations in her honour can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.
