Safe in the arms of Jesus ~ Until we meet again.
On the morning of May 8, 2017, while on a work run to Nevada, Robert “Bob” was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He told friends that he did his best praying while driving truck along the highways of Canada and the US. Bob was a long haul trucker and loved his Lord, his family, extended family and times on the road with his many truck driving friends and the good friends he met for coffee on his days off. He enjoyed hunting, camping, singing and meeting new people as he traveled from place to place.
Bob is dearly and lovingly missed by his wife June, stepchildren, Janice (Mark), Christopher (Linda), Anthony (Suzy), Steven (Angie) and his step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Marilyn (Jim), Anne Marie (Bruce), Terri (Andre) and brothers Bruce (Suzanne) and Charles (Chris), sisters-in-law Ruby, Sandra (Mike), Gloria (Gary) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Hugh, mother Katherine, sister Sharon, brothers Neil and Paul, beloved uncles and aunts and brother-in-law Bert.
Bob's hearty laughter and easy going ways will be missed by all who knew him. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:11
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St. Chilliwack, BC followed by a Memorial Tea at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8871 School St. Chilliwack, BC.
