Margaret Elizabeth King

Margaret Elizabeth King (Maggie) of Chilliwack, British Columbia, PASSED AWAY on October 10, 2024 at the age of 65. She was born on April 13, 1959 in Petaluma, California. Growing up with her sister Gail-Ann and brothers David William, James Lesley and Paul Ronald. Maggie moved to Canada with her parents in 1975, at the age of 16.

Maggi started her working life in the construction industry doing renovations and painting houses. She then moved to a career in traffic control. This eventually led to a contract position within the movie industry where she worked on the set of Wayward Pines filmed in Agassiz. Unfortunately, Maggi was forced to retire due to health issues.

Maggi was predeceased by, her father William Leonard Sovey and mother, Margaret G Sovey (née Mahon) and brother David William Sovey.

Maggi is survived by, spouse David Victor King. Her Sister Gail Brumbaugh Sovey. Brothers Paul

Ronald and James Lesly Sovey residing in California, mother in law Elizabeth King, brother and sister in law Rick and Laura Knoke, and nieces and nephews and their families.

Maggi liked to help others when she was able and received an outstanding service award.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical team in the ICU at Abbotsford Regional Hospital in particular Kelly for her compassion and care.
