James Harvey Stinson

Harvey was born October 15th, 1930 in Regina, Saskatchewan to James and Nellie Stinson. Raised a family with wife Phyllis Ward, 3 children Lori, Jan, and Greg in Regina.

Phyllis passed in 1986 and son Greg passed in 2012. Harvey worked for Canada Revenue Agency for 36 years and retired in 1989, he married Claire in 1990 and moved to BC. however always remaining a loyal RoughRider fan. Harvey played basketball (Scott Collegiate, the University of Saskatchewan), volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader, serving as an instructor and active executive member of the Regina and Canadian Kennel Clubs.

Harvey is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Claire; brother, Gerry; daughters, Lori and Jan (Tony); stepchildren John, Joe, Anna (Parviz), Samantha (Ben), Susan (Vaughn), and Joshua; and grandchildren Tyson, Nicole (Max), Conor, Eamonn, Maeve, Holly, Cassandra, Addison (Jane), Madeline, Jada, and Samuel.

Harvey’s life will be celebrated by family and friends at a Memorial Service at 3:30 P.M. January 20th, 2018 at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave, Chilliwack BC.
