Alfred Allan Funk

Alfred passed away Jan 28, 2023 at the age of 83.

He was born in Altona Manitoba and is survived by his loving wife Dolores and children Graham (Avril) Funk, Valdena (Gerald) Zacharias, Scott (Cheryl) Funk with Grandson Douglas (Devon) Zacharias and Great Grandchildren Kesler, Nate and Olivia. Also survived by his sisters Evelyn Schmidt and Diane (Elmer) Braun and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Gertrude Funk and Brother Ronald Funk.

He met a gal, Dolores, at the Dairy Del in Altona Manitoba, fell in love and married 8 months later in March 1961. He retired in 1996 with the Department of Highways.

In his 62 years of marriage they have enjoyed their travels to many countries, snowbirding down South and Rving across Canada and the USA where they have made many life long friendships. He was loved by all who met him. He loved to dance, play the spoons, sing and was always the jokester.

He will be remembered for his "Gpa" beard rubbed kisses with his great grandchildren, his endless love for his family whom he always put first,his willingness to always be there when someone needed help and his infectious laugh and smile. We will miss him every day.
