Donald Gene Zimmerman Sr.

Donald was born in Peoria on November 5, 1932, the son of Everett and Pearl DeVoss Zimmerman. He married Eileen Bailey on August 31, 1951 in Chillicothe.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years; two daughters, Kathie (Jack) Stieghorst of Chillicothe, and Pat (Jim) Stetler of Livingston, TX; three sons, Donald (Kim) Zimmerman Jr. of Dahinda, IL, John (Jan) Zimmerman of Marquette Heights, and Everett "Bill" (Joi) Zimmerman of Chillicothe; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Brownfield of San Jose, IL , and Donna (Brian) Newell of Canton, MO.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. for thirty years, retiring in 1981.

Donald was Golden Gloves Champion in 1955.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.

Burial will be at Chillicothe City Cemetery.
