Betty J Smith

Betty is survived by her sons Jeff Smith (Kim) and Ray Newman (Donna); and her daughter Olivia Smith; her brother Paul Brooks (Ruth); her 12 Grandchildren, her 5 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ed Smith; her son Tony Smith; her father Arthur Brooks and her mother Lucy Brooks.

A visitation for Betty will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel. A visitation will occur Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Harpersville United Methodist Church followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Betty will be laid to rest in Harpersville Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jervis Young, Rev. Lori Carden, and Rev. Winston Brooks.

Serving as pallbearers are Colby Smith, Zach Smith, Alex Smith, Seth Newman, David Wathen, Brooks Wathen, Tristan Banyard, Brennan Smith and Connor Wathen.
