My condolences to all who lost this lovely spirit: Bill Harmon. I'm so grateful for the times I visited Bill. We would talk about antiques, Enza Zeller and the Uptown Antiques Shop at 1039 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, MN. I am grateful for his brother John who asked me to help him shift a few things around the shop one Saturday afternoon when I was 12 years old that started my long love of antiques, history and life. Bill was a delight. I appreciated his many good qualities. I am grateful we reconnected after so many years. I love you Bill. I will miss you.

Wow.  Bill was such a legend.  I worked with him early on in my advertising career- learned so much from him.  I still often think of some of the lessons he taught me.   May he rest in peace knowing the great impact he had on so many.   

A true gentleman. One of a kind. The best print analyst. Did not suffer fools gladly. Fabulous lunch date. World traveler. Rabid collector. Simply the best! 

I met Bill Harmon in 1979. He was my first boss at Leo Burnett. He was smart, kind, humble and held very high standards for himself and those around him. He looked upon his fellow colleagues with great pride and respect. He was renowned in the industry - everyone knew Bill. He was a teacher in all aspects of his work. He trained not only many media people who worked with him but also several generations of media reps who called on him. I was fortunate to work with Bill for over ten years. He loved his clients and strived to give them the best work possible. Over many media lunches and dinners, Bill and I became friends. When I got married in 1984, I was honored to have Bill walk me down the aisle. After moving to Louisville in 1991, we stayed in touch through holiday cards, phone calls and occasional visits. The last time I saw Bill was in June of  2021. He looked frail but still maintained his humor and his sharp memory. We talked about old times at Leo Burnett, looked at some old photos, had lunch, went grocery shopping with Henry (what a lovely man) and ended the day with a walk around the Edgewater gardens which included many plants and trees that Bill had donated. He was so proud of this. This is my last memory of Bill. He was a truly special man who made a lasting impression on all those who knew him. I’m so grateful to have been one of those people.

My Bill, may your journey be one of peace and infinite love.  Here is a photograph of your garden at the cottage, where many an hour was spent on the wonderful porch in front of the lake, in your cottage that took you back in time to a reality long gone…how we were able to recreate it for a brief time, chatting, reading articles from your Wall Street Journal, planting flowers and just living in the moment.  You were an intrepid man, climbing the Andes like a young man, always encouraging and wanting one to strive for greatness.  I have and will truly miss you, my dear friend Bill Harmon. R.I.P.     p.s. I will finish reading Death in Malaga, I promise. 💫

Bill was such a wonderful man.
We had lots of fun at Aldi food store. Bill loved jam. We would come with 5 or 6 jars. He loved shopping, Target's was a favorite.
Loved going for drives on Sherdian rd and he hated the new buildings going up. He loved working in his garden at his building. My life is richer having met Bill. I loved Bill!
