Born in Hong Kong to the late Hing Tom Chin and Shan Ying Kong Chin. Raymond moved to Chicago as a teenager and he attended Senn High School. Later, he worked for many years as a cook at Mongolian House, his brother’s restaurant in Wrigleyville. Raymond was fiercely loyal to family, hardworking and clever. He could fix anything and always worked to solve any problem he or his loved ones faced.
Raymond was particularly close to his older nieces and nephews. He was often the playmate, chef, caretaker, companion and confidant to them all. They could ask or desire anything and he would fulfill their wishes. He loved to play and rough-house with the younger ones. His loss is deeply felt and his presence sorely missed by all who cherished his quick humor, loving heart and vibrant personality.
