Shirley enjoyed trying new things, loving her children or any child in her care, not giving up striving for her children and for herself for a better tomorrow. She was a champion over her setbacks. Sacrifice whatever she must for the people she loved. Exercised and sharing her faith in God. She enjoyed taking her sons to the park and having adventures with them. Being a servant to others. Accomplishments: Primary education. Redeeming relationship with Jesus Christ. Giving birth to six children, that gave her a legacy of fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by five loving boys Steve (Suzanne), Jeffery (Linda), Mark (Dina), Michael, Robbie and her daughter in-law Theresa King. She was the loving grandmother and great grandmother to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Larry, her siblings Roy, jack, Robert, James, and Raymond Hadfield, sister Louise Den vial, her daughter in-law Linda King, grandchildren Christopher King and Robert King.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Shirley that will be held on Friday, July 21st from 9am to 10am with a service to begin at 10am at Drake and sons funeral home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625. A Burial will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery, 7800 Irving Park Road, Norridge Illinois.
