Rosa was born to the late Gabriel Marrero Lozada and the late Asturiana Lozada on January 9th, 1954, in Puerto Rico. She spent the majority of her childhood in Chicago with eight brothers and sisters, graduating from Tuley High School and receiving a certificate from a trade school to be an administrative assistant. She loved to crochet and was an avid crafter and incredible quilter. She also enjoyed doing various DIY projects around the house with her husband.
On November 6th, 1971, Rosa married Rafael Olivo and they lived together in Chicago, Illinois, until moving to Pompano Beach, Florida, in 1998. She is survived by her two children: Rafael Olivo, Jr., of Chicago, Illinois, and Raquel Olivo, of Sherman Oaks, California, and was blessed in her life to have six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and an abundance of loving nieces and nephews.
Viewing ceremony will be held on January 5, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on January 6th, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Sylvester Church, committal and entombment at 1:00 p.m. at the Queen of Heaven, Christ The King Mausoleum.
