Gone to soon, dear Ronke gone too soon into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, leaving me with memories of friendship that just started blossoming. We both recently expressed our mutual regret of not coming closer earlier.
You have been taken away to be spared from evil... You have entered a place of peace. Your sweet memory lingers.
Beloved sister, you have fought and won. Rest in peace dear!

My dear Ronke:
What can I say, God knows best but it is still tough and hard to know that that was you I saw yesterday at your  wake. For over fifteen years ago when I knew you, I knew you as an elegant beautiful private lady. I also knew you as our children's gym teacher who was their gym teacher, counsellor , mom  and disciplinarian at Stone Scholastic Academy where everyone knew you. One of your children tells me this morning how whenever you catch them doing something they should not be doing , you would draw them close to you and hold their head/ face code to your face and say to them, " you coconut headI saw you."   Your Stone kids  strived to behave better for you.. Ronke you introduced me to your hair stylist whom I used for years. You were kind and gentle and wise. Your children were the world for your. I pray today that God almighty grand your wishes for your children , that they gone on in life and live the tupe of life that would make you proud and grateful to God. Rest  in Gods arms my friend.

I love you mom!! I know you are still with Tiffany and I. We will continue to make you proud. God has brought his angel back home.

I am overwhelmed by your departure. 
Death has robbed us of the opportunity to walk into old age comparing notes. I feel terribly stranded.
I refuse to be robbed of the fond memories and the beauty of having you as a dear and selfless friend. I shall treasure them.

Dearest Ronke, The angels are singing a little louder now you've joined them!   You were a great big sister and friend and I will miss you dearly - your beautiful face, your caring soul, your hearty laughter, and your cheerful yet commanding presence. You gave so much of yourself and asked for little in return. 

I was overjoyed when I listened to the birthday message you left me just a few weeks ago and now heartbroken that I never got a chance to thank you for your very kind gesture. Adieu my friend.

Though I was not personally close to you, you have always been like one of my sisters and 'mom' to my nephews. Your name, actions, love, care etc was always mentioned. 
The last time I saw you was after our dad's funeral in Naija last year (your support was unrivalled) and we were both rushing frantically through the chaos at the Murtala airport to make our flights; joking about sweet home. This was before the illness. 
You took every member of our family as one of yours.
We love you dearly and you will be sorely missed.

Ah! My dear Ronke, or should I say Mrs F!
Wonderfully Kind, Extremely Considerate, Very Accommodating, Loving, Friendly, Generous, Hospitable, Humble, Caring, Fun loving........... I could go on and on but words really can't describe how I really felt about Ronke.

When I met her through a friend about 6 years ago, she immediately took me as a friend and I became her Mrs Dee. She made sure she visited, called, entertained and hosted me every time I was in Chicago on visits. She would go out of her way to pick me up for parties and to go shopping. i knew she was going out of her way to entertain me and would try to stop her from having to go out of her way but she would insist that i had to be entertained.

Whenever she came home to Nigeria she called and even though I couldn't reciprocate her Chicago hospitality, she would wave aside my apology and say she was home in Nigeria while I was a visitor while in the USA.

My last visit to the USA was in May / June and it was a rather short trip. Since I was to go back to the USA in July, I called to apologies and promised to see her in a few weeks time. I remember she sighed and said "Don't worry Mrs Dee, I know you aren't mobile here and that you are staying with your  daughter who is now further away in Milwaukee. If its God's will, we shall see when next you come". I told her to maintain her faith and that God will answer our prayers concerning her health condition and we would see agsin by Gods grace. Unfortunately I couldn't make my scheduled July trip and although we spoke regularly, I never got to see her again.

It is comforting that i was privileged to have known her over the last years of her life. Her demise is not only a great loss to the entire family but to all who knew her.

Although she has left us, we take SOLACE in the fact that she is now united with her Creator and free at last of all the pain, wahala and problems of this world. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace and may the peace that comes from the memories of love shared, comfort her husband, children, family and friends now and in the days ahead..
 
If the future seems overwhelming, remember that it comes one moment at a time and that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
 
I pray that God Almighty gives the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Dearest Ronke, you were an elegant soul.  You lit up any room with your charm and grace. Before you became a friend, I admired you from afar. In getting to know you I realized that this grace and elegance was coming from within. My friend you are already dearly missed. 
I pray God will be a strong presence in the lives of your family as they go through this great and overwhelming loss.

     I was saddened to hear of the passing of your beautiful wife and mother.
Ronde was such a caring and lovely women. I worked with her at stone Academy for many years.
I spoke with her the week before her passing. Ronke  I will truly  miss that beautiful smile,May God continue to bless this beautiful family.

When you told me you were done, I realized you had fought the good fight and given it your all.I told you for the last time to keep fighting because we have our children's engagements and weddings to plan. Your response was 'please continue without me'.It was sad to hear that. Sad that you are gone. I am rest assured you are at peace now. You were a friend indeed. I'm glad i met you. Fondest memories.

After moving to the US for college, the Fakuade's welcomed me into their home every time I had short vacations and stayed in the country. 
Aunty Ronke, you  treated me like family and always welcomed me with a smile and sumptuous meals. 
Even when you were ill in June 2014 and I had a summer course in Chicago, you cooked and brought the food to me on campus. 
I'll always remember your caring personality and kind nature. 
When you passed on and I travelled down to see uncle and my egbons, it was so obvious you were not there. 
Hmmm, I will surely miss you.

Sis, I called you many nice names and you reciprocated by calling me many funny names too. 
I can't even find the words to write about you in the 'past tense'. 
I rushed to your hospital bedside on the 3rd of September, knowing I could always 'lovingly bully' you into a happier mood. The cost of getting you to eat, smile and talk did not matter. 
It was easy for me to make you eat and make you desire to live again. I achieved that again when I came. 
As I left, I cried in the car. When you were told, you called to cheer me up. You simply knew how to care for others. 
I believed so much you were a - Living Testimony (another of the many names I called you). 
One of the last messages I sent to you was to remind you that Jesus had gone ahead to prepare our mansions. I believe that message had a purpose and now you must be at peace in your mansion. 
The care, the love and the mothering you provided to everyone will always be remembered.

My dearest Auntie. I've known you for as long as I can remember and it sincerely pains me that God has laid you to rest. Whether it was your old house or 5910 N Christiana, whether it was the sunny summer or the frigid winter you always made your house a home and I will never forget your hospitality. I knew well that I was your son as long as I lived within those walls and I thank you for loving me with open arms.

I'm glad I was able to see your smile once again this past summer, as the strong queen who ruled that home, but as I mourn, I recognize that now you are in a better place. May your soul rest in perfect peace, and may God continue to watch over your family with the grace and love that you showed so many.

Words cannot express how I feel of your sudden departure. Yet I am greatful to God that he entered a beautiful soul into my life. Thank you for being an awesome gym/health teacher to me and my peers at Stone Academy class of 2000. Thank you for still keeping in contact with me thru facebook and checking up on how I was doing. I am Happy that I was able to keep my promise to see u, and that I did Sept 14. You touched so many hearts. You were a great, caring, and kind hearted person.  I love you and will miss you Mrs. Fakuade. Rest perfectly in peace and continue to watch over your beautiful children and family.

I am still deeply sadden about your call to come Home. I know you are at peace and in a wonderful place.  I am blessed to have known the sweet and kind woman you were. Thank you for being a mother figure to my sister and I when we were kids. Thank you for being a good friend to my mother.  I pray for comfort and peace to surround your family at this time. You left a deep wound in my heart when you left without saying goodbye, but I am thankful for the privilege of been there for you during your glorious days. Even though you are in pain you still keep on going and I admire your courage for that. I know you are worried about your children believe they have a lots of adopted mothers to take care of them and with God's help everything will worked out well. My darling sister , Ronke, I   received the news of your eternal departure with a very rude shock  ! I took it for granted that we shall live till good old age & I can always see you whenever, my tears flowed uncontrollably, for it dawned on me that I shall see you no more till eternity.           Darling sister, rest in peace.

I worked with Ronke at Stone Academy. She was a very good person and friend.

Beautiful Queen, true friend, colleague, angel and athlete, we will miss you on this world and our hearts are heavy that we have lost you here. Always remembered always loved!

Ronke's was a delightful person and talented gym teacher. Ronke was a fabulous tennis player . We worked together at Stone Academy. She will be missed.

My Friend, My Sister, Omo Iyami, My Namesake, why? We met decades ago while playing volleyball for our respective schools. We represented the then Western Region together. Our friendship flourished from then on. I think back at our pranks and jokes played on the coaches,friends, etc.

The light has gone out and I'm lost for words. You sent me a text 'news not good'. If only I had known that our conversation an hour later on 4th Sept. would be our last. I prayed and prayed that you will get better but God knows best. You left us yesterday to be with your Father, the pain is over, the struggle is finished. My heart bleeds but who am I to query God.

Aaahhh, RONKE it wasn't to be. The fight is over, the pain is gone. Rest in Perfect Peace my dear.

May the Almighty Father lift up your loved ones at this moment as they come to terms with His decision.
