Richard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Sheila (nee Conley), his beloved children Brendon Johnson, Bridget Johnson, and Laura (Joey) Keim, his adoring granddaughter Ruby, his loving brother Frank (Bonnie) Johnson, his nieces and nephews Frank, Adam, Monica, and Morgan, and many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy Johnson and his parents.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 14 from 9:30 am – 11 am with a Funeral Mass to begin at 11 both will be held at Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 708 West Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL 60657. A burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL 60076.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be expressed to Kolbe House Jail Ministry, an origination close to Richards’s heart.
