Leaves behind Damian and Christian - She loved you boys with all her heart (she was their babysitter). Her loving Chico - The Doggie she never wanted but one she loved so much. Her adoptive children from Sonidos y Moviementos whom she loved so much and cherished when they would all stay at our house.
Rebeca was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. She married our dad on November 19th, 1988 at the age of 34 and had their honeymoon in Mazatlan. Shortly after their wedding, she moved to Chicago where my sister and I were born. My mom loved knitting–it was one of the things she enjoyed most in her down time. She was always down for a trip to the Casino (sorry mom you'll probably be mad we said this), when we were younger we would spend hours there. My mom and dad would alternate taking care of us while the other went to play. She loved getting her nails done – in a deep red wine color. Her favorite color was black. Most of her clothes were either black or navy blue. She babysat Damian and Christian for several years. Those boys were her treasure and she loved them with all her heart--to her, they were like her grandkids. She loved a good ruso blanco. She was a devout Catholic. Each night she would play the rosary on her phone and have it playing throughout the night. She had one of the most contagious laughs EVER. You could be having the worst day, heard her laugh and immediately feel better. She loved to go on long walks. When we were little, she would take us on the bus to explore the city. She hated the train, she was always scared to go on it but she would still do it for us and we would always laugh especially when the train would make a turn because she would close her eyes and clench her whole body. Our parents always had plans with us, we would go to Wisconsin almost every weekend. She would always pick us up from school, always told us to call her or text her when we got to our destination or our on way home. My mom was timid but so funny. She loved to watch la casa de los famosos--even on this last season on days she didn't feel well she would ask us to put it on #TeamTierra--and AZUL for exatlon. My mom LOVED Christmas and loved to decorate the house during that time. She loved Los Freddy's, and oh the stories she would tell us about her in those times. She lived a good life; she was a wonderful wife and mother. She will be missed beyond measure.
