Rachel was a strong and outgoing person who enjoyed being with her family, friends and also meeting new people, both friends and strangers alike. Over the years, Rachel set goals and wishes which she was able to achieve and accomplished with her children. She was renowned for her motivation, extreme kindness, funny sense of humor, and always keeping her calm under the most stressful situations.
Rachel was endlessly proud of her children, parents, siblings and loved to share all of their successes…and, hopefully, bested everyone else’s stories. She had a beautiful sense of fashion and flair for style. One of her favorite pastimes was traveling, shopping for clothes, accessories, and going out to eat at restaurants. She also loved sports, especially baseball and liked to take her daughter Natalie to Wrigley Field Stadium to watch her beloved Chicago Cubs play.
Rachel was a devoted Religious person whose faith upheld her throughout life’s many ups and downs. She used her “direct line” to Heaven (via her prayers) to intercede on behalf of her loved ones. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the tender embrace of the Lord.
Rachel will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nathan, Joshua, Natalie and their father Tiburcio Gonzalez; her Mother and Father, Norma and Juan Leon; her brothers Ruben and Ryan Leon; her Grandmother, Nelly Ojeda; her sister in-laws; and all her nieces and nephews; Renee, Justin, Ethan, Ellie, and Leilani Leon; her Aunts, Rachel, Lourdes, and Iris Leon; her Uncle Louis Leon; her cousins, Monica, Vanessa Leon and Anthony Ross. Rachel will also be remembered by her extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations towards Rachel's children; As Rachel would always say, Thank you so much.
