Maria Concepcion Matos

Maria was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was cherished by her family and remembered for her love of God, her family, and her commitment to making life special for everyone who knew her. Maria had a passion for sewing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children and grandchildren: her children: Maria Matos-Burns and husband Marty Burns, Flor and Husband Jim Steen, Carlos Matos and wife Semra and Luis Matos and partner Edna Cruet; grandchildren; Daniel Ortiz, Antonio Rodriguez, Erik Perez Matos, Jayden Perez, Niko Matos and Drake Matos. She was preceded in death by her grandson Akira Matos.

Visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.

Prayers will occur Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.

A final viewing and prayers will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 8:45 AM, 6000 North Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646.

A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 813 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608.

The graveside service will occur immediately following the mass at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
