Margarita Rose Vargas

Margarita Rose Vargas peacefully entered into Gods arms on July 16th, 2024 after many years battling with Cancer. She was relentless to the very end, she never gave up. She was the loving wife of Jose A. Dones for 32 years, cherished mother of Angelica (Angel) Rivera-Medina , Ashley (Apolonia) Vargas, Jose A. Dones Jr, Alyssa Dones, Margaret Dones, and her bonus son the late Diontae Hall, devoted grandmother of Aaron, Tony, Andres, Ayden, Aniyah, Aleiya, Santino and Francesca, great-grandmother to Xavier, Emerson and Eliana, beloved daughter of John Vargas & Joan Thurbush, daughter in love to the late Margaret T. Vargas, dear sister of Kim, Lisa, John (Julie), Justin, Frank (Amanda) and the late Shawn (Sandra), Beloved Cousin , Godmother and Aunt to many nieces and nephews and a friend to all who knew her; especially her besties Carmela, Laura and Lupe who always had her back.

Margarita loved all music, especially house music and she loved to dance with her family and friends. She was an amazing cook and loved to eat with all those she loved. She loved to laugh and would always keep it real with everyone, Til the very end. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. “Skedaddle”

Visitation for Margarita will be held Monday, July 29, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 6063. Funeral mass, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home.
