Gregory John Wall, 63, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Greg will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Kathy (Tierney), daughter Alison, son John, dad Everett, the extended Tierney family, many friends made over his lifetime and neighbors in Edgewater. Preceding Greg in death are his mother Dolores and his brother Brian.
Greg was born August 5, 1955 and grew up in White Bear Lake Minnesota. He graduated from the great University of Minnesota (go Gophers), got an MBA from University of Bridgeport and achieved a successful career in medical sales.
Greg enjoyed every minute of his life. His greatest gift was his dry humor and sneaky wit that left anyone who ever had a conversation with him smiling or laughing. His favorite role was dad and he provided the right balance of love, fun, and teacher.
He was well-traveled, curious, adventuresome, athletic (skiing, skating, tennis, golf), artistic, and creative. In his spare time, he liked to work with his hands, was a talented “DIY” home improvement guy and leaves his family with treasured paintings, wonderful refinished furniture and a beautiful home and landscape.
Kathy, Alison and John are so very, very grateful for his love, humor, fun and his pragmatic, no-fuss approach to life. He leaves them “full up” for life.
