Loving a mother of Julie Zielinski, John (Donna) and the late Al; cherished grandmother of Ryan and Holly; dear sister of the late Beverly “Bev” Becker, late Virginia “Sis” Hettinger, late Robert “Bobby” Dailey and the late William “Billy” Dailey, Jr.; dearest aunt of Joey, Billy, Peter, Jimmy, Cathy, Pammy, Nancy and Kimmy; dear friend and neighbor to Cindy, Bill, Angie, Mike and Val; second "Mom" to many friends and co-workers. Diane was an avid reader, prolific cook and baker. She will be remembered for her independence, her food and her fierce love and devotion to her friends and family. Diane worked as a Switchboard Operator and as a Receptionist for 32 years. She was at MacNeal for 17 years and at Cosco Container Lines for 15 of those years.

Visitation for Diane will be held on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6620 West Archer Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and funeral service will be at 10:00 am at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Committal service at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum, 1400 South Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois.
