On Monday, May 30th, 2022, Daniel Edward Dubiel passed away peacefully in his sleep. He is now free from the pain and health issues that had been making his life difficult these past few years. Daniel Dubiel was born November 11th, 1958, in Chicago, IL, to the late Zofia (the late John Lemanek) and the late Edward Dubiel. He was the youngest of their four children. He is survived by sisters Barbara (the late Teddy Jankowski) and Daniella (Stefan Maca), although brother Adam preceded him in death, passing away unexpectedly 25 years ago. Daniel was beloved uncle and great-uncle to many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. In order of birth and their appearance in Daniel’s life: Adam Jankowski, Stevie Jankowski, Tadzio Jankowski, Suzia Maca (Koivun), Steve Maca, Jason Dubiel, Corrine (Adam) Jankowski, the late Jon Koivun, Ela Koivun (Nash Miller), Julia Koivun, Maegan (Adam & Corinne) Jankowski, Steve Koivun, Denise (Stevie) Jankowski, Karen (Steve) Maca and their five children, Maddie, Stevie, Lily, Abby, and Joey Maca. Known to many as Danny or Dan, he leaves behind many dear friends, including long-time partner Rose “Rocco” Braeunig and her daughters the late Michelle and Tiffany, and grand-daughter Gabriela. Dan enjoyed riding on his motorcycle with the Good Fellows, loved to be with his friends, spending time fishing in the summers in McHenry, and visiting with his extended family. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him and love him. His final wish was to be remembered and celebrated by his family and friends with a simple pizza dinner and the sharing of memories of time spent with him. Pizza plans, time and date will be posted and texted to friends. If you would like more information please contact Daniella Maca at [email protected] to RSVP
