Carol Marie Tobler, age 59, passed away on October 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 28, 1965, in Chicago, Carol lived a life filled with love, dedication, and warmth that touched all who knew her.
Carol was the beloved daughter of Robert Tobler and Donna (Carroll) Tobler, and a cherished sister to Raymond (Melissa), Robert, Joseph, and James (Ellen) Tobler. She was a doting aunt who was adored by her nephews Patrick, Daniel, Kyle, and Robert David, and her nieces Jacqueline and Amber.
A student of Loyola University, Carol built a long and successful career in marketing research at Shapiro+Raj, a leading firm in Chicago. Her professional achievements were matched only by her dedication to family and friends, whom she considered an integral part of her family circle.
Carol was known for her grace and strength, qualities that shone brightly throughout her life and especially during her battle with cancer. She had a special talent for bringing people together, whether hosting family vacations that created cherished lakeside memories or organizing celebrations with friends and family. She was a kind, caring, and loving presence. And, even in her final days, Carol was surrounded by the friends and family she held so dear.
Carol's legacy of love, strength, and warmth will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 12 to 4 p.m., with a Remembrance of Life Service from 3 to 4 p.m. Services will be at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Junior Achievement of Chicago or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
