Michael Carmen Federico, age 83, of Burton, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, July 19, 2024. Michael was born on January 30, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in Collinwood and graduated from Collinwood High School in the Class of 1961. Upon graduating, Michael was very proud to join the United States Army from 1961 until 1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After returning home, Michael married the love of his life, Antoinette Marie Altomondo, in 1963 and were married for 57 blessed years. Michael was a big John Wayne fan. He loved watching and reading war and western movies, shows, and books. Regardless of the occasion, Michael was known for his wide range of hat and sunglass accessories to compliment any outfit or event he attended. He was an excellent cook and many of his recipes had the classic Italian flare and rustic flavors. He found so much joy with his children and grandchildren but Antoinette was his purpose and soulmate. The family finds comfort knowing their love is reunited in Eternity. He is survived by daughters Nancy Federico, Marie (Mike) Sheets, and Michelle (Mike) Croasmun; son Michael C., Jr. (Julie); grandchildren Mike (Kristine) Sheets, Lisa (Nick) Plisko, Casey Croasmun, Reanna Croasmun, and Michael Croasmun; great-grandchildren Bradley, Ryder, Owen, Jamison, Joey, and Vanessa; siblings Gene (Kathy), and sister-in-laws Nancy (late Dennis) Morek and Rosemarie Santiago; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
