Wilbert worked for Alstom Power as a welder until he retired. He enjoyed riding his bike, walking and spending time with family and friends. Wilbert was in the United States Army serving as the Sargent during the Vietnam War.
Wilbert was preceded in death by parents Luther Weaver and Edna Weaver; brothers Archie Weaver, Warren Weaver and Calvin Weaver.
Wilbert is survived by his wife Delores Weaver; son Dwight Weaver; son Kevin Weaver; daughter Verneeda ( Eric) Smith; son Kedrick Weaver, Lori ( Fiancée); daughter Felicia Graham; brother Weyland Weaver; sister Dorothy Edna Jenkins; sister Kay Francis Ponder; sister Margaret Zelia Weaver; Mary Eleanor Franklin; Ella Lee Weaver; brother-in-laws Junior Cottrell and Marvin Cottrell; sister-in-laws Patricia Garth, Shirley Carmichael, Carol ( Thomas) Thompson and Sarah Weaver.
Wilbert will lie-in-state on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be conducted at the Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Church at 10 am on Monday with Pastor Paul Warfield, Jr. officiating, Interment to follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
