Sarah Lizabeth Pyburn, 74, of Chattanooga, ran longingly into the arms of her Lord and Savior on the evening of October 10, 2020. She had been looking forward to this moment for most of her adult life. A passionate member of the East Brainerd Church of God, she was the church clerk for many decades. She was a mighty prayer warrior who stormed the gates of heaven on behalf of so many.
Those who surely greeted her there were all six of her siblings, three of whom ran ahead just in the past year. Her parents, Paul and Thelma McKee led the way.
Left behind to cherish her legacy are her husband, Charles Pyburn and two sons, Chuck and Andy Pyburn, as well as several nieces and nephews.
All Covid mandates will be in place at the funeral home and cemetery, such as wearing a mask and social distancing.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 pm Monday at the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Gary Swaggerty and the Rev. Greg Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
