A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, she has been a resident of the Chattanooga area most of her life. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church and a dedicated mother of five.
After her late husband (Bill) retired, they enjoyed traveling and spending time at the Wolftever Fishing Club. Sara loved playing the piano, bible studies and playing card games with her special friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Trent “Bill” Bible and parents, Everett R. and Louise Sumner.
Survivors include her five children, Gary (Janie) Bible, of Roanoke, VA, Diane (Jerome) Gibson, Sharon (Kenny) Sisk, all of Ringgold, GA, LCDR Dan (Christy) Bible, of Buford, SC, Julie (Kenny) Crowe, of Ooltewah, TN, ten grandchildren, Trent Bible, John Bible, Ray McIntyre, Wes McIntyre, Tommy Sisk, Amanda Hackett, Daniel Bible, Michael Bible, Andrew Crowe, Matthew Crowe, three great grandchildren, Brody Bible, Kaden Hackett, Libby Hackett, three siblings, Randall Sumner, Adelyn Mayes, David Sumner and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Grady Cooper officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bayside Baptist Church.
