Roy Richard Harris

Roy was born in Chattanooga, TN on May 8, 1950, the son of the late Leroy Harris and Pearl Mae Harris.

He was a Floor Tech at Erlanger Hospital for many years. He helped his sister, Cathy Pickard as a Floor Tech and cleaning for Glo Works Janitorial Services for years.

Roy was of the Church of God faith and was a member of Joyful Sound Church of God before he became ill. He loved to go camping, fishing and travelling to Florida.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Doris Ann Berry; and step daughter, Tracey Ann Lawson.

Those Roy leaves behind to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Fannie Marie Harris; her children, Terrie Sue Glover, Janet Marie Brookshire, and Mary Elizabeth Vasquez; sisters, Joan D. Lonas and Cathy Pickard; grandchildren, Heather Oxendine and Stacey Phillips; 15 great grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

A Graveside service with Military Honors will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
