Ret. Col. Ron L. McNabb

Ron was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 7, 1949. He is preceded in death by his father, William E. McNabb, mother and step-father, Freda and J.B. Henson and his loving wife, Lori Scott McNabb.

He graduated from East Ridge High School in 1968 and from Tennessee Tech in 1972. After receiving his Master's degree, Ron started his 25 year service in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, from there he went on to be a Base Commander at Fort Bragg and ended his time in the Army overseeing health services at Brook Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he would retire with the rank of Colonel in 1999.

Ron loved to play golf and spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ball, grandson, Charlie Ball, brother, William "Mike" McNabb and sister, Nancy Wilhoite.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the Campusano family (his second family) for all their love and care of Ron over the years.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A graveside to follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11:00 am with military honors.
