Mrs. Bernal was a member of the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Her husband, William Bernal preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Norman Bernal of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Hazel and Wolfgang von Maack of Chevy Chase, Maryland; brother, Adam Pereda of Lima, Peru; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Collegedale Memorial Park with Pastor Cherie Smith officiating. A reception will follow at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
