Mattie C Holt

Born in Boynton, Georgia on February 1, 1934, she lived in the Chattanooga area since 1944. Jean retired from AT&T after 40 years of service with Southern Bell, South Central Bell, and Bellsouth. Mattie was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Chattanooga Chimes Bell Club, and Charter Member of the Midfield Acres Community Club. Mattie was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Maranatha Sunday school class. Her strong faith as a Christian was her source of strength. Mattie is a dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandmother (Grammy). She is survived by her son William Leonard “Len” Holt Jr., Grandchildren Philip Justin Holt Conroe Texas, Laura Holt and Brooks Castin Richardson Texas, Brother in Law Dr. Raymond A. and Marianne Holt Ft. Myers FL, Retired Lt. Colonel Air force David L. and Donna Holt Collinsville OK, Brother in law William Davis Winchester TN, Sister in Laws Shirley Holt, Carroll Holt, and Lynn Holt along with all family members. Mom had numerous friends and neighbors too many to count. Mom loved people, enjoyed life, she was truly loved and greatly blessed. You will be missed.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Rev. Bill Summers officiating.
