She was born in Gaffney, South Carolina as the daughter of the late J. B. and Dell Smith Murphy.
Martha worked many years in the medical profession as a support person. She was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her late husband of 52 years, Master Sergeant Jack R. Sauceman who was retired from the Unites States Air force; her son, Dr. Patrick Sauceman and sister, Betty Stanley.
Survivors include her grandson Murphy Sauceman of Chattanooga; niece, Jo Menees of North Carolina; nephews, Scott Stanley of Hendersonville, TN and Terry Thompson of Rock Springs, GA.
The Family will gather to receive Friends Monday, August 7, 2023 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Family also invites you to attend Graveside services following the visitation at 10:30 a.m. the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Friendship Sunday School Class.
The family wishes to express love and many thanks to Dr. Richard Peters for his compassion and care over the years for Martha.
