Kay Marie Reese went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 78 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Reese, her mother, Lucille Reese, her brothers, Leroy and Roland Reese, and her grandson, Chad Stefancich.
Kay was born in Kalispell, Montana on January 2, 1945. Her family then moved to California when she was still very young. In California, she lived a very eventful life where she attended Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, worked Many jobs such as a telephone operator, Factory worker, and at a local newspaper.
Kay was a very strong, smart, independent woman with such a heart for the Lord. She was truly a rock for her family and a warrior for God. She had many spiritual gifts and spent her life glorifying God. She loved fiercely and was loved by so many.
Her dream was to move out of California and in 2022, she was able to do just that. She spent the last few months of her life enjoying her time in Ooltewah, Tennessee with her granddaughter, Macy, grandson-in-law, Jake, and great-grandchildren, Kiera and Jace.
She is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Coreena Cayabyab, Dianna Dixon, Deborah Buckner and her niece, Trinka Reynolds. She had seven living grandchildren, Meagan Heller, Travis Chafe, Ashlee Stefancich, Andrew Dixon, Macy Loden, Sabrina Cayabyab, and John Cayabyab. She is also had nine great-grandchildren, Andrew and Aiden Dixon, Troy and Noah Chafe, Kiera and Jace Loden, Noah and Eli Dixon, and Vivienne Heller.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Refuge Church, 6955 Portola Rd., Atascadero, CA 93422.
