He was an avid musician, played in the Bend Sinister Band, ran sound for live shows, loved traveling to Amsterdam, loved his children and grandchildren deeply, and has touched many people.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Glennice Kay Bruce Stebbins; father, John Phillip Prouty II; and sister, Theresa Prouty Smallen.
Survivors include daughters, Natalie Kowalski and Tara Taymore; son, Adrian Prouty; grandchildren, Kairi, Loralei, Joshua, Ana, Tye, Cruz, and Sage; sister, Athena Stebbins Barta; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for John will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
