She was preceded in death by her parents George and Nancy Sanford and two brothers, Mark Lehman and Scott Sanford.
She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church and was a former employee of Brock Candy Company.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell L. Sims, two daughters, Michelle E. Sims, Keira E. Sims, all of Ooltewah, TN., four sisters, Marie (Jim) Saxton, , Connie (Randy) D’Apice, all of Hornell, NY., Trudy (Ray) Herbert, of Alfred Station, NY., Paula (Ken) Kornaki, of Lancaster, NY., sister-in-law, Kathy (John) Gallent, of Alfred Station, NY., four brothers, John (Michaleen) Lehman, of Corning, NY., Mark Sanford, of Alfred Station, NY., George (Sara) Sanford, of Hornell, NY., Terry (Lisa) Sanford, of Canisteo, NY., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Stitts officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbee-Sims Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
