Mrs. Fannie Louis Penn was born on July 7, 1941 to James Talley and Gladys Bowens in Chattanooga, TN. She attended Second District and Howard High School, where she took a course in Commercial Foods.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and cooking on a regular basis until her health failed. Fannie was employed with Olan Mills for 32 years working in various positions. Upon her retirement, she was a Final Inspector.
She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, James Talley and Mrs. Gladys Bowens; son, Mr. Harold Morgan, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Bowens, Geraldine Harris and Ethel Mae Brown.
On Thursday, September 26, 2024 in Viviant Healthcare of Chattanooga, Fannie departed this earthly realm.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Mr. Willie Penn; daughters, Mabel Darlene Morgan, Patricia Woodruff and JoAnn Muse-McCrutcher; son, Terry Taylor; brother, Johnny (Ann) Bowens; sister, Marjorie Ross all of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Nikki Taylor, Crystal Anderson,Tifani Glenn, Darius Patterson, Jimmy Green, Ashley Muse and Tommy Fruget; brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Fannie will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404,
Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
