Erika will be lovingly remembered by her fiancé Dylan Barger. She is also survived by her parents Carrie and Scott Sailors; siblings, Kirby, Michael and Jesse; and biological mother, Jamie Stargel Price and biological brother, Matthew Stargel. Other survivors include her grandparents; Jesse and Carole Bray, many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ron and Sue Sailors.
Erika left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her absence leaves a deep void in our hearts. Though her time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness she shared will forever remain. She loved her family, the laughter and all the fun times we shared.
Erika was employed at Discovery Point where she was deeply loved by the children under her care. Being a teacher was fulfilling a lifelong dream of hers. Much of her leisure time was spent on her phone, with her fiancé, walking around the park, camping and fishing with her family.
A private family burial will be at Tyner Cemetery. To commemorate her life and the memories we cherish, memorial services will be held at Silverdale Baptist- Apison Campus, 10259 London Lane, Apison, Tennessee 37302. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 5-7 with the service to follow at 7.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, 6623 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421, https://tennesseechildren.org
