David Cornell Moorer

David accepted Christ at an early age at Beulah Baptist Church under the late Reverend Sam C. Lewis.

David was born October 16, 1991 to Valerie D. Decree and Jesse D. Moorer, Jr. in Chattanooga, TN.

David was a devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a dedicated employee of Burger King for 9 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary B. Decree, Willie Ed Benford, Jr, Charzie Mae Moorer and Jesse D. Moorer, Sr; and a nephew, Da’Shawn Kirkwood.

Those David leaves to cherish his memories, a loving mother, Ms. Valerie D. Decree and a devoted father, Jesse D. Moorer, Jr.; grandmother, Lucy B. Benford; loving stepfather, Tommy Hale, Jr.; one daughter, Journey E. Moorer; 1 son, Hero Cornell Jones; 7 sisters, Yolunda Moorer (William Carter Murphy), Veronica Moorer (Montez Rice), Javanae Decree (Labron Kirkwood), Angelene Hale, Jessica Moorer, Tiffany Robinson and Amanda Moorer; 2 brothers, Jesse C. Moorer and Jessie D. Moorer, III.; a host of nieces and nephews; a devoted friend Dasha Bradley.

A visitation for David will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Franklin-Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
