He was preceded in death by his parents, Elder Butler and Pressie Frazier and brother Elder Butler Frazier Jr.
Charles was a member of Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church (HMBC) where he served for many years as a trustee. Charles graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Chattanooga, TN, then proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He also attended Tennessee Agricultural and Industrial University in Nashville, TN.
Leaving behind to cherish his memory of 52 years, his devoted and loving wife, Mary Hopson Frazier of Chattanooga, TN; son, Colonel (retired) Geofrey A. Frazier (Hazel), grandson, Geofrey A. Frazier II, and granddaughter, Jasmine R. Frazier of Fairfax Station, VA; sisters, Pressie (Luther) Wasson of Stockton, CA; Sara Cotton, Rosetta (Harry) Strickland of Chattanooga TN; and Terrelee Frazier of Racine WI; devoted cousins, Harvey Broadnax, Tillie Seay, and Patricia Broadnax of Chattanooga, TN; dear cousin-in-law, Emma Broadnax, of Chattanooga, TN, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral will be held on May 26, 2013 at Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church, 7463 Pinewood Drive, Chattanooga, TN, 37421, at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Bobby L. Hampton, Sr., presiding.
The body may be viewed on Saturday, May 25, 2013, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist-Valley View Chapel, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN, 37421. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at HMBC.
The final service and burial, with full military honors, will be held on Tuesday, 28 May, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN, 37404.
