Originally from The Bronx, New York, Tom was a proud alumnus of Our Lady of Solace Grammar School, Cardinal Hayes High School and Fordham University. He cheered for the NY Yankees, lamented over the NY Giants and loved, truly loved his family and friends.
Tom and Marilyn’s story began in 1958 and held many chapters leading them from Yonkers, Syracuse and Farmingdale, New York; to Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Florida before settling in Chatham, Massachusetts. In Tom’s corporate career, he held sales positions with Allstate Insurance and Callaway Mills capped by over 35 years with R.H. Donnelly. While at Donnelly, he was Vice President of Training and Development from 1982 to 1995. From 1995 to 2015, Tom was co-owner of Kuk Baldwin and Associates, a sales training consulting firm.
Hosting family gatherings was his delight, telling and re-telling stories was his passion, but watching his children or grandchildren from the sidelines of a ballfield or the audience of a play was his greatest joy. Tom cooked big and loved bigger. He was happiest when his home was full, and God’s grace was always apparent.
Tom is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, parents Walter and Isabelle Baldwin, brother Walter Baldwin, sisters Margaret Schneider, Patricia Fleming and Virginia Reynolds and granddaughter, Kayla Baldwin.
Tom leaves two loving sisters Doris Baldwin and Mickey Smith, and sister-in-law, Joan Vann; eleven grateful children Thomas, Jr. and Laurie Baldwin, Michael and Bettianne Baldwin, Christopher and Linda Baldwin, Brian and Mickie Baldwin, Kathryn-Mary and Joseph Pizzurro, and John Baldwin; adoring grandchildren, Thomas III and Meg Baldwin, Michael Baldwin, Sarah and Chris Schmied, Sean Baldwin, Brendan Baldwin, Elena Baldwin, Molly Baldwin, Steven Baldwin, Julia Baldwin, Rebecca Baldwin, Christopher Baldwin, Caroline Pizzurro and Mary Pizzurro; and one beautiful great-grandchild, Thomas Joseph Baldwin IV.
A Catholic Mass will be held for family and friends at noon on Saturday, July 21 at The Church of Saint Anne, in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
