Rosamond Spidle Borgmann (Roz), 93, a long-time Chatham resident, died peacefully, with her family at her bedside, at Pleasant Bay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Monday, April 28, 2014. Born November 6, 1920 in Newton, MA to the late Robert L. Spidle and Adele (Sentener) Spidle, Roz was the wife of the late Grosvenor R. Borgmann, Sr., beloved mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son Grosvenor R. Borgmann, Jr. and his wife Ingrid of Groton, MA, her son Mark L. Borgmann and his wife Patrice of Dennis, MA, and her two grandchildren, Peter Borgmann of Waltham, MA and Calvin Borgmann of Burlington, VT. She is also survived by her brother, Paul L. Spidle and his wife Dianne of Epping, NH.
Roz was a resident of Littleton, MA, where she was an administrative assistant for Harvard University, Middlesex School, and a local medical office. While in Littleton, Roz enjoyed participating in the Garden Club.
Roz relocated to Chatham, MA in 1970 where she enjoyed gardening, and singing with various local groups including the Cape Chordaires. She volunteered at the Chatham Council on Aging. Roz later moved to Thirwood Place in South Yarmouth, where she was an active member of the community for several years.
A public graveside memorial service will be held at South Chatham Cemetery (Massachusetts 28, 02659) at 1PM on Friday, May 16th.
