Mary Jane Wood

Mary Jane Wood, 79, of Charlottesville, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Mary Jane was born on September 10, 1943 to the late Lacy and Virginia Mawyer. Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 58 years, Harold Wayne Wood; two children, Debbie and her husband Brian Straway, and Ken and his wife Karen Wood; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Kevin Wood, and David Straway; three great grandchildren; her sister Barbara Jean Leake and two brothers, Lacy Jr. and his wife Doris, and Eddie and his wife Brenda. Mary Jane was a pediatric LPN, a lifelong member of The Moose Lodge (Women of the Moose), and also belonged to The Fraternal Order Of The Eagles. Most importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved her dog, Lilo. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, 11am-2:30pm, at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville, Va.
