He was a well-loved young man who was creative in every way. He was never a stranger, and he was more caring for his family and friends than he was for himself.
He is survived by six grandparents: Joseph and Scottie Payne, Brenda Payne, Bobby and Peach Martin, and Charlotte Martin; his step-parents Terrance Agee and Sheila Payne; three sisters: Heather Woody, Samantha Woody, Destanie Payne; three brothers: Shane Pleasants, Sterling Payne, and Marshall Payne; one niece, Lizzie Burns; two nephews: Taylor Burns and Ryan Pleasants; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and the love of his life, Emily Cowgill, his love story.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 5 PM to 9 PM at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville, VA. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 25 at 10 AM at the funeral home, with a burial to follow at Beaverdam Church Cemetery.
The gentlemen serving as pallbearers are Shane Pleasants, Phil Chaplin, Derek Stephens, Cody Childers, Daniel Hager, and Logan Zimmerman.
