Jennifer Keyes

Jennifer Lynne Keyes, 47, of Waynesboro, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021 surrounded by love. Jennifer was born on December 13, 1973, in Staunton, Virginia, to Connie and Linda Proulex. She was a Graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, and worked as a Housekeeper at Mary Baldwin University before getting ill. Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother Linda Rae Proulex and father Connie Proulex of Staunton, Virginia. Jennifer is survived by her three children: Dhayd Keyes, 21, her step son whom she helped raise; her 15 yr old son Gage Keyes; and her 13 yr old daughter Destiny Keyes. She is also survived by her Ex-Husband and father to the children, William "Billy" Keyes, Jr ., who along with her children was by her side through all of it; and her Aunt and Uncle JoAnn and Bob Wagstaff. As well as some loving friends who considered her to be their sister, Michelle Fitzgerald, Joy Pruit, and Della Davis; as well as others. A celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Wilson Pond from 11am-2pm in the Gazebo near Wilson Rehab Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
