Claude "CP" Price of Charlottesville passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024. He was 77. Claude was born on October 11, 1947 in Charlottesville to the late James and Margaret (Rea) Price. Claude was raised in a huge family that never needed an excuse to get together. There was always a deck of cards, good food, and laughter aplenty. Claude met his wife, Paula, while they were just kids and remained inseparable. Spending time with his family was a source of joy for Claude. Family vacations and holidays were favorite times for him. Claude was an avid bowler for many years and a member of the VFW. He stayed active hanging out with friends watching the game of the week. In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Price, sisters Mary Juno, Lucy Collier and Shirley Kraft and brothers Bobby Price and Jimmy Price. Claude leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Paula; his daughter, Cindy Shull and her husband, Billy; his granddaughter Ginny Thompson and her partner Dustin Messer; great grandsons Isaiah, Isaac, Elijah, and Elias Thompson and great granddaughters Juliana and Aliyah Messer. He also leaves behind sisters Ce Tedder, Louise Byars, and Christine Barnett, brother Billy Price, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 2:00pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA 22903. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you’d consider a memorial donation in Claude’s honor to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 200, Charlottesville, VA 22903 or to Alzheimer's Association-Central & Western Virginia Chapter, 1807 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
