Charles “Charlie” William Litton of Schuyler, VA passed away June 4, 2022. He was born in Portland, Oregon on December 30, 1948 to Dorothy McKeever and Jack Litton. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Janet Morris Litton, his daughters, Ashley Litton, Tracie Harvey and her husband, Greg. His four grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Silas Litton, Kyle Harvey and his wife Elizabeth, Dylan Harvey and Caitlin Harvey. In addition to his immediate family, Charlie is survived by his sisters, Christel Lewis and her husband Edward and Bonnie Gottschalk and her husband Dale. His brothers Robert Litton, Denis Litton and his wife Gloria and Junior Miller and his wife Dawna. His sister-in-law Pamela Thomas and her husband Lawrence and brother-in-law Daniel Morris. He will also be missed by his many nephews and nieces Shawn, Andy, Laurie, Matthew, Mary, Brandon, Cori, Amy, Stephanie, Emily and Emearl. Also, his dear friends Warren Richardson and Al Short along with many other relatives and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved parents Dorothy and Albert Greenwood and Jack Litton, his mother and father-in-law Helen and Charles Morris, sister Teresa Litton, brother David Litton, brother-in-law Charles E. Morris, niece Lisa Lewis and nephew Chuck Morris. Charlie was a decorated Army Veteran who served his country in the Vietnam War and he was immensely proud of his service. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved spending time outdoors, especially with his faithful canine companion Cami. She brought him many years of comfort and joy. He loved sports, particularly NASCAR and football. He was creative and enjoyed writing poetry. He was extremely loyal to his family and friends and would do anything to help anyone. He will truly be missed by everyone who loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road Charlottesville, VA 22903. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to K9s For Warriors, 114 Camp K9 Road Ponte Vedra, FL 32081
