Wilma was born on July 21, 1930 in Inman, SC to the late Zebulon Ruffin Little and Janette Shehan Little.
After, her family relocated to the Charlotte area when she was young.
In recent years, Wilma’s favorite pastimes were listening to country music. Her favorite artists were Randy Travis and Ray Price. She also liked watching old western movies, and spending time with her family. She especially cherished any time spent with her son, Michael, and was elated when their family expanded to include Michael’s wife, Mary, and her family. Whether they were going out to eat or just catching up, Wilma enjoyed any occasion spent with the people she loved.
Kind, smart, and always smiling, Wilma will be greatly missed.
Those left to honor Wilma’s memory include her son, Michael Mayberry (Mary); granddaughters, Ashley Vacca and Michelle Johnson (Robert); and great-grandchildren, Riley Vacca Burris, Owen Johnson, and Ava Jo Johnson; as well as many dear cousins, other family members, and friends.
Per Wilma’s wishes, there will be a private family service at a later date.
Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
