Bill was born on June 26, 1941 to the late Carey Austin Grier and Rosalind Charles Chick in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from Central High School in 1959.
He was a devoted member of Idlewild Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR, and watching wrestling. Bill loved to shag dance and spending time with his family.
Bill will be remembered for his caring and generous heart. He was well-loved by so many. His joyful spirit and purpose driven attitude will be missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Muench of Mooresville, North Carolina and Julie Kelly of Monroe, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jennifer Muench of Denver, North Carolina, and Tonya Easton, husband Francis, of Monroe, North Carolina and; and great granddaughter, Amelia Easton.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at McEwen Funeral Service- Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227. The service will immediately follow. Bill will be laid to rest following the services at Sharon Memorial Park 5716 Monroe Road Charlotte, North Carolina 28212.
