William Carson Cannon

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at McEwen Funeral Services at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212 with burial to follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.

William was a long time member of Eastway Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC and more recently a member of Lewisville Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Pamela Jean Cannon, his precious granddaughter, Kaitlin Elizabeth Goodwin, seven brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donnie D. Cannon of Clemmons, NC; daughter, Kathy C. Goodwin and husband Robert of Winston Salem, NC; son, Lt. Col. Ret. William C. Cannon, Jr. and wife Tiffney of Rockledge Fl; four grandchildren, Christopher Ross Cannon and wife Lindsey of Valrico Florida, 2nd Lt. Jacob Tyler Cannon of Valdosta, GA, Ashley Lynn Cannon of Brandon Fl, and William Hunter Goodwin of Winston Salem, NC and brother Archie Cannon and wife Isabel of Lake Mary, Fl.
